Class Schedule:
    Three 45 minute class sessions spaced over three weeks.
    Start at 7:15 PM end at 8:00 PM Class Dates: Wednesdays: July 7, 21 & August 4

Who is this class for?
  • The class is an introduction to didgeridoo music appreciation and how to play.
  • This class will be most helpful to beginners.
  • In 3 class sessions you will get fundamental instruction on how to practice and grow your basic skills on
    didgeridoo plus much more concerning instrument construction, Australian Aboriginal art and more.
  • Open to all ages from kids to adults.
  • Don't have a didgeridoo? No worries a practice instrument will be included.
  • If you are past the very basic skills of droning John is available for private instruction. Contact John at
    jg@jgmp.com to book your lesson.

Class Tuition per Student $60
Pre-Registration is Required as Maximum Class Size is 5 students.

Topics Covered Include but not limited to:

DIDGERIDOO INTRODUCTION
  • John will present an introduction about didgeridooing from his travels in Australia, studies and research
    about the didgeridoo including didgeridoo history, construction, acoustics of instrument design and
    artwork from Aboriginal Australia.

DEVELOPING BASIC SKILLS
  • Droning
  • Circular Breathing
  • Vocals (multiphonics/singing/animal sounds of the Outback)
  • Tonguing (harmonics and rhythms)
  • Overtones (toots)
